ANNOUNCING AN OPENING FOR A PERMANENT POSITION IN ARCHITECTURAL RESEARCH AT THE CHARLES CORREA FOUNDATION IN PANAJI, GOA.

Call for AR_Poster A4

Apply by March 1, 2019, for the permanent position opening April/May 2019 with the following qualifications:

☐ Professional degree in Architecture.

☐ Proficiency in using the following software – InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD + SketchUp.

☐ Familiarity with use of WordPress and social media.

☐ Essay – 500 words (max). Prompt: Of the many issues that Charles Correa engaged in as an architect/planner, which speaks to your interests the most, and why?

☐ Writing sample – from an earlier academic paper.

As an architectural researcher, you will have the opportunity to:

☐ Present Charles Correa’s archives, his philosophy, and works, to keen visitors coming to the Foundation, ranging from travelers, student groups, and professionals.

☐  Lead the documentation of drawings and photographs of Charles Correa’s built and unbuilt projects, sketches and essays.

☐   Coordinate with corresponding parties for setting up national and international exhibitions displaying Charles Correa’s projects.

☐  Coordinate with relevant partners for producing publications on Charles Correa’s philosophy and works.

☐  Represent the Foundation’s online presence – website and social media.

ANNOUNCING 2019 CYCLE OF THE RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP AT THE CHARLES CORREA FOUNDATION IN PANAJI, GOA.

 

The Charles Correa Foundation (CCF) announces the 2019 cycle of the Research Fellowship, a residency program based in Fontainhas, Panaji.

Apply by February 7, 2019, for year-long positions opening March/April 2019 with the following qualifications:

☐ Professional degree in Architecture.

☐ Top 5% of your graduating class, attested by your college.

☐ Proficiency in using the following software – InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD + SketchUp.

☐ Academic Architectural Portfolio (maximum file size 5MB)

☐ Essay – 500 words (max). Prompt: Of the many issues that Charles Correa engaged in as an architect/planner, which speaks to your interests the most, and why?

☐ Writing sample – from an earlier academic paper.

During the Fellowship, you will have the opportunity to:

☐  Assist in preparation of project proposals, surveys, and documentation, mapping and analysis, graphics, essays and presentations related to research projects, including coordinate with agencies (government and private) for permissions, status, etc.

☐  Assist in work related to acquiring funding for projects or events related to the activities of the Foundation such as preparation of dockets, posters, invitations, etc.

☐   Assist in organizing outreach programs through publications, conferences, exhibitions, and workshops.

☐  Write on issues related to architecture, through essays, blogs, etc.

☐  Assist in designing and scheduling events related to the activities of the Foundation.

☐  Present Charles Correa ‘s archives, his philosophy, and works, to keen visitors coming to the Foundation, ranging from travelers, student groups, and professionals.
