Signage undeniably plays a vital role in IMAGE – MAKING OF A CITY
Today in Panaji unregulated signage is creating visual clutter, often altering the facades of historic buildings, and sometimes posing a threat to pedestrians and motorists. This led us to initiate the project Guidelines for Commercial Signage in Panaji which is to be enforced in the Trade and Occupation Bye-Laws of the City of Panjim.
YOUR CITY, YOUR OPINION!
Re-imagining Commercial Signage in Panaji was a competition to design signage for a selected area in Panaji using the proposed guidelines. Concluding with a jury deliberation, panel discussion and an exhibition of submitted work, we wished to reach out to the involved stakeholders and get suggestions for implementation of the proposed guidelines.
A panel discussion took place at:
Fundação Oriente, Mala, Altinho, Panaji: 24 – 25 March 2018
The exhibition took place at the following venues:
Fundação Oriente, Mala, Altinho, Panaji: 24 – 25 March 2018
Azad Maidan, M.G. Road, Panaji: 30 – 31 March 2018
