Z-axis 2022

The fifth edition of Z-axis — the Charles Correa Foundation’s biennial conference — will explore the design of buildings, construction materials and cities – how they can be designed to reduce their impact on climate change.

Form Follows Climate

Charles Correa wrote this essay in the late 1970s in response to the energy crisis that affected much of the Western world. Foreseeing similar grave mishaps for the ‘Third World’ he started to advocate for sustainable design and planning practices as means to ward off a bleak future.
