Inland Waterways System – Goa

With about 255km of navigable stretch of waterways, Goa has a great potential for an extensive water network catering to both the local commuters as well as tourists. Improving and adding on to the river transport system already in place could greatly make the travel experience more efficient and affordable with minimum intervention.

The various phases of the project are – documentation of existing river transport facilities in Goa, identifying additional ferry routes to create an overall inland waterways network, reprogramming existing ferry points and providing support infrastructure.

Project Leader: Rahul Deshpande,  Sudharsha Preethi.
Project Team: Maria Pilar Gutierrez, Vignesh Prasad C, Shanice Sousa Pereira, Rugved Rane.
